I would say this is my last time going SYF in my whole friggin Secondary School life! I would be damn happy because I manage to pull through my tiring Secondary School Band Life. Also, I am sad because there is so many memories in there, especially with a few jokers around. Not to forget ZAZA too. :D For this blog post, I am going to make it short and simple. Not a lengthy one. I would address to each and everyone of you in this post. Some may be a bit offensive, but don't take it to heart! XD
Norman: You are a bit spastic and retarded at times :D, but I treat you as my brother as much as my own real brother. The reason why you see me going so friggin harsh on you is because I want you to learn. You are always isolating you yourself with the whole of percussion members. You are always alone, you are always quiet, you always take things to yourself. You never show your true colors. I know you are sad and happy even when you show the opposite. For these few years, you said that I am bullying you. But hey! you're the man here alright? I am serious, you are like a person that show the true quality of persevering and determination. You can be a bit rebellious at time. Just to pissed the f*** out of us. But still, I want to let you know that you are still the best player around i've seen together with Nic Soo and Fredy. You're the MAN! TRUE MAN! For this, I just want to say persevere on, and keep on working for your percussion playing. Soon, you would go as far as nic soo and fredy. I am not joking. I hope that in the future, if there would be any more chance, I would want to play percussion instrument again as a section. Kudos to you and good luck for your O's. (Oh ya, rmb your stickings!)
Zu De: ZUDE!!! :D I love the way you made my life in MSSB an happy and lively one. You never fail to make me laugh with all your videos and the SHRUTISH movement! :D XD You nevver fail to be there when i needed help. You are a great help to the percussion section! For the past few years, me you and norman have go through this far till now. I will never forget how we have been through many obstacles together. Obstacles huh? Yous might as' what obstacles?' Ok let me tell you one of the obstacles that the 3 of us had gone through together. Maintaining Order In Percussion Section during 2010 when many Excos member complain about percussion section. Remember how we disscuss how the rules and stuff like that? It definitely shows that you care for Percussion section! I remember the time when you told me how you can't sleep because of percussion matters. From that day, I have seriously respected you alot. For what you are, a remarkable and caring Percussion member. I would always seek your consultation for all kinds of percussion matters. So, I hope that we can keep in contact even after we graduate from MSHS. We are the best PALS we can be!
Qian Jie: Qian Jie 大哥！！！ You are one of the most friggin determined percussionist i've seen around. You are able to master your bongo part all because of your determination. I have to really take my hats off for you. You have my deep respect BRO. :)You are my model player for which of your character and moral qualities. It is hard to find someone like you. It is a honor to have you around. You are always my 大哥！Always a person that reminds me not to give up and go on no matter how hard life can be. If you continue to work hard for percussion. Trust me, you will make it far. As far as anyone you know in the musical world. Through your determination, you showed me who's the Servant Leader here. You are the one man! So, i hope in a few years time, let's play conga and bongo ensemble again. TRIPLET ENSEMBLE~! KUDOS TO YOU!
Sylvester: YO YO YO! Sylvester! :D You mugger! (not as hardcore as gregory) :D You are a person that is helpful and never fails to solve things in a calm and peaceful manner, without you, i think that manh problems would not be solved:). Don't be like me and nic soo, that doesn't scold because we hum ji. Just go for it. You impressed me with your cooperativeness and the willingness to lend others a lending ears. I must say that you will be a GREAT SL. Definitely better than me. No joke here. I would like to see you leading percussion section to a greater height. Next year, SYF 2012 Marching assessment, i wan to see percussionist ROCK the whole stadium! JY!!!! Hey! FUTURE SL OR MSSB PERCUSSION! Better do a good job hor. I would be watching you... Always watching... ;)
Kai zhong: EH CRAYFISH! Although you join percussion section only this month, but i see your hardwork and the amount of effort you put in for your parts. I must really thank you and take my hats for you. You show the true spirit of a percussionist in terms of effort spent. Not the irritating part >:P Perhaps we organise another percussion party next time? >:D
Edwin: EDWIN! Haha, you are a great mallets player. Haha, you've been a great to percussion section especially mallets area. You are a person that is open-minded and optimistic. However, i must say that you got a bad-temper, and easily to get pissed off. Try to listen more to others at times and argue less and perhaps, it would help you more in being a more successful percussionist. I know that you can do it, in leading the juniors to a greater height in terms of mallets. Haha, that's about it. Last thing, 记得听你的SL HOR. :)
Gregory: MUGGER!!! A TOTAL INSANE CRAZY SIAO HARDCORE MUGGER! NO NO NO, I MUST CALL YOU BOOKWORM FROM NOW ON :D Anyway, Gregory, continue work harder for your snare drum techniques and slowly, move on to other instruments. 别想要一步登天。不然你会率得一脚朝天。Also, listen more to your seniors and your friends. Stop arguing and disturb others. You already know that you are being titled 'retarded' and 'spastic'. so stop acting like one. Haha, ok let's talk about your good points. Hmm, you are caring, i must say. Really, you must care your bandmates more often just like how you care for us sometimes out of the moon. Instead of abusing your buffness and taekwando skills, you may want to use them at the right time. Talk to your juniors and your section mates nicely, im sure they will listen to you. Don't always think that everyone is sorry to you or indebt to you in someway or somehow. You will never succeed far if you have that kind of mindset. So, i hope that you would improve your attitude towards your sention mates and im sure, cfm better than me in the future. You may think that i am being sacarstic here, but seriously, i see potential in you, esp the time when i teach you snare drum and stickings. You showed willingness to learn and you are patient Cmon, release your potential and show that what are you made of. ;) I hope that in the future, I would see a brand now gregory :)
Aubrey: Hey! MIDGET TOMS PLAYER! :D HAHA, you are darn short but yet, you are a exceptionally good toms player. You are way better than my seniors in someway or somehow. You are the best toms player i've seen in my secondary school life. Not kidding here. Continue to work on your toms and who knows? You might become famous just by playing toms :) I still remember the first time you came into band. I was like, 'shit man... sure anot. this person so short how play?' But my instincts proved me totally wrong. It turned out that you are not only good in toms, but also snare drum and mallets, although still not norman's standard yet. But i must say you are the best among the others. Continue to work hard and lead your juniors. Kudos :D
Zhe Ren: Zhe ren ar zhe ren! :D Im seriously impressed by your marimba run. You played well for your SYF! HAHA, although for the first few months before the SYF you did not improved much and you got loads of scolding and stuff like that, but suddenly few weeks before SYF, there is suddenly a BOOM. SO YEA, IM REALLY IMPRESSED. You are also a quiet person and always isolating yourself. Cmon, socialize more with your section. Exchange ideas and share your experience with them! You would be a better percussionist if you improve on your skills. That's all i can say! Good luck!
Fredy: Hey fredy~! My dear instructor. You are a unstable volcano that erupts almost at the most random timing. Haha, but you are the most pleasant volcano i've seen in my whole life. You are generous and optimistic. You are damn patient in terms of teaching the whole percussionist section. You brought joy to our section and also the keystone to the success of our percussion section. Whatever we have today must really all credit to all the teacher-in-charge, mr chiang. But MOST IMPORTANTLY IS YOU. Without you, we would not have been such a great player and receiving all the praise from other school conductors. So, once again, i would like to thank you here for all your carea and support for all of us. Perhaps one day, let's organise another section outing and percussion party. heh heh heh.
